Mozilla Firefox – To search something on the internet a medium is required and such a medium is termed as a web browser.  Mozilla Firefox is one such free web browser which is so easy to use that a novice can also use it without any prior technical knowhow.
The speciality of this web browser is it is an open source browser and anyone can use it without subscribing for it. Created and founded by the Mozilla Foundation it runs on all the operating systems available. To keep the service secure and simple to use most additional features are provided as add-ons and not as an integral part of the design of the browser.

Qualified web standards - Most of the universally acclaimed and accepted web standards are supported by Mozilla Firefox web browser. To begin with it has integrated web certification and standards like the HTML 4, XML, XHTML, MathML, SVG 1.1, CSS, ECMAScript, DOM, XSLT, XPath, APNG and many others. Not only these but it has also gone through and successfully passed standards of Acid2 version 3.0.  


Secure service -The security standards which Mozilla Firefox uses is sandbox model. They use SSL/TLS for keeping communications safe and secure. A very powerful cryptography and HTTPS services are also used for safeguarding the browser.


Telemetry –Telemetry is basically statistics which Firefox questions to its users when they upgrade their version. Questions about its performance and valuable feedback from direct users help Firefox know more about user experience.

Availability in various platforms - For the desktops systems Firefox is supported by Windows operating systems, OS X and also Linux operating systems. For mobile platforms also Mozilla Firefox is launched. For mobile devices it is supported for Android. During September 2013 Mozilla is introduced for the Aurora platform too which is basically catering to the Windows 8 Touch based interface devices. It has also ported into SkyOS.


Themes-A wide variety of themes are offered by Firefox. It is basically changing the skin of the browser for adding some variation in the web browsing experience.

Extensions –Users are given the power to add stuffs to the browser for a better user experience. Of course they are not able to change the entire code. These extensions are basically settings of the system and certain features of administration that a user can modify as per their requirement.


Tabs –Browsing using tabs as small separate sites can be checked within one single browsing window is a common feature present in all browsers today. Firefox also has it.


Hence by the creation of this amazing easy web browser Mozilla Firefox has become bigger than just a corporate firm. It is now an integral part of the everyday life of millions of global users.
